Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Malins-Smith

The American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF) received a donation of USD 150,000 from Mr. and Mrs. Roland Malins-Smith. Mr. Malins-Smith is founder of Seafreight Line Ltd. “My wife, Loretta, and I value the importance of training the next generation of mariners, seafarers and vessel operations who will build and lead the maritime industry in the Caribbean,” says Mr. Malins-Smith. “Maritime is a global industry and the Caribbean is playing, and will continue to play, an even greater role in the industry in the years to come.”

“We were awestruck by the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Malins-Smith. Their gift will help to construct a much needed lecture theatre and increase access for many students who wish to study at the Caribbean Maritime University,” says Dr. Geneive Brown Metzger, President and Executive of the ACMF.
