Tropical and TOTE Provide Leadership

MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER

We owe so many of you a debt of gratitude for your amazing support over the past year. We were able to double the number of scholarship awards, and we even embarked upon a new initiative, the ACMF “Maritime Link-up: Beyond Borders” webinar for high school and college students across the Caribbean, which we did in partnership with the Caribbean Association of Training Authorities and the CARICOM Education Secretariat. Presenters were maritime top brass including Michael Bayley, President, Royal Caribbean International; Rick Murrell, SVP Saltchuk; and Remy Vyzelman, President Intergra Marine/DP World in Suriname. In addition, we donated 18 fully-loaded laptops to help students study online, and hosted a virtual Anchor Awards gala.

ANCHOR AWARDS
This year, we return to our face-to-face annual Anchor Awards scheduled for Friday, November 5th at the Historic New York Yacht Club in midtown Manhattan under the banner “Moving Forward Together”. The honorees are Ms. Alyse Lisk, SVP, Technology and Operational Excellence, TOTE; and Mr. Harriett Maragh, President, Lannaman & Morris Shipping Ltd. of Jamaica (posthumously). Tickets are $375 each. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available by emailing exacutivedirector@acmfdn.org. Don’t miss it!

ACMF COVID RELIEF FUND
The awareness of the impact of the COVID-19 on the world, and in particular the Caribbean, spurred an ACMF initiative to provide additional financial assistance to some bright and hardworking, yet financially challenged students outside of the regular sponsorship and grant programs. We funded ten (10) students in the initial tranche.
Please help us support other students with your donation.
