The ACMF Appoints New Board Members
The ACMF is pleased to announce that it has appointed two new board members—including one to its Advisory Board. Carleen Lyden Walker, Executive Director of the North American Marine Environmental Protection Association (NAMEPA) is a veteran of the maritime industry where she has held senior positions for over 25 years. She will be focused on creating a version of NAMEPA and eventually setting up a MARPOL Training Academy in the Caribbean.
Michelle A. Nicholas, V.P. of Development & External Affairs for Family Services of Westchester, where she has the responsibility for raising an average $2M annually, joins the Advisory Board and will be sharing her expertise in fund raising and donor cultivation. She hails from Guyana and will also be helpful in identifying donors from the Guyanese community to fund air-marked scholarships for Guyanese students to study at the CMU.
“Both of these professionals bring important resources to the ACMF and we are looking forward to having them on board,” says Geneive Brown Metzger, ACMF President and Executive Director.
